Mark Lonnegren is a senior insurance executive and consultant with more than 30 years of experience leading strategy, operations, compliance, and marketing at AIG, AXA XL, and New York Life. He is known for delivering financial results, building governance frameworks, and driving operational transformation across complex global businesses.

As Managing Partner of Mako Consulting, Mark advises insurers, MGAs, InsurTech ventures, and investors on strategy, product development, compliance, and business model valuation. Recent work has focused on operational transformation and MGA governance for major commercial P&C carriers. At AXA XL, he built and led the Delegated Arrangements function for the Americas, helping grow the Programs/MGA portfolio to a profitable $850 million across 40 programs, while also spearheading governance, integration, and multinational program initiatives.

Earlier, at AIG, he led compliance for the P&C Americas region, created a global performance management framework for a $26 billion commercial business, and managed divestitures generating more than $3 billion in proceeds. At New York Life, he established the company’s first Corporate Marketing department and played a key role in launching its groundbreaking AARP partnership.

Mark began his career in advertising and direct marketing before moving into insurance. A graduate of St. Lawrence University, he continues to apply his experience to help organizations adapt and grow in a changing insurance landscape.
