Antonio Magnaghi is the EVP of Engineering at System1. Most recently, he was the VP Data Science – Engineering at Live Nation (Ticketmaster). He led applied R&D and SW engineering/development on several strategic, large-scale initiatives at Live Nation/Ticketmaster and was in charge of designing and implementing novel machine learning algorithms as the core technology of Ticketmaster marketing and user intent discovery platforms. Prior to Live Nation/Ticketmaster, he was the SVP Algorithms and Data at Demand Media, where he bootstrapped a completely new R&D group, developed novel algorithms, and holds several patents. He also served as the Senior Software Engineer at Yahoo! from 2005 to 2008 and was the Software Design Engineer at Microsoft for almost two years. He is skilled in distributed systems, machine learning, scalability, and algorithms, and graduated from the University of Tokyo with a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
